Tesla Model 3 and Model Y caught on camera without any disguise

Tesla is officially coming to India and preparing its cars for India launch as few of its vehicles were observed in the open, free of camouflage. The Tesla Model 3 and Model Y were disguised in a parking lot and that too without any covering. Tesla had a total four cars in the parking lot which includes the Model Y facelift also defined as Juniper in international markets. 

The US EV manufacturer has already commenced their operations for setting up in the Indian market, as the brand was scouting for ideal land for its first showrooms and was also hiring for respective roles in India. Tesla also submitted homologation applications for their respective Model 3 and Model Y trims in India. There are certain expectations that the company will be opening their first store in Mumbai. 

Model Y Facelift

Tesla will debut in the Indian market with their most popular Model Y as they have analysed the Indian market and the taste and preferences of Indian consumers and People perceive SUVs as the most sought-after body style of cars in India. According to them Model Y is ideal for Indian conditions as it provides increased ground clearance, which is trending across the country. 

However Tesla was struggling with the low ground clearance of the older generation Model 3. 

Model Y Battery & Performance 

Globally, the Model Y comes with a single battery pack option. The Model Y gets an all-wheel drive AWD integrated with a long-range battery pack, returning a significant EPA-rated range of 526 Km on a single charge and a claimed top speed of 200 Kmph. The Model Y with its AWD tech has the capacity to go from 0-96 Km/h in an impressive 4.6 seconds. 

FEATURES: Tesla has loaded the Model Y with tons of segment first features such as power-adjustable seats with heating and cooling functionality, a 15-speaker sound system combined with a subwoofer, and an 8-camera setup. 

• Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the Model Y offers Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, and a refined Lane Departure System.

• For Model Y, you have a total of six color options available, with a variety of shades to choose from, including Stealth Grey, Pearl White, Deep Blue Metallic, Diamond Black, Quicksilver, and Ultra Red. The interior is available with two colour-shade options starting with Black and White combination or a completely black interior styling. 
• The overall styling of Model Y is heavily re-designed and now includes a new highlighted lighting setup present at the front and rear. The interior is now updated with new improved ambient lighting and a dedicated new touchscreen interface complimented with a soft-touch finish. 
• The suspension is enhanced and retuned for better handling and control. There are various enhancements in the steering and has been made more sharp and responsive. The Model Y incorporates acoustic glass, which helps to reduce the intrusion of road noise into the cabin when traveling at high speeds.
