Mercedes-Benz is fast-tracking the future of the robotaxi ecosystem & collaborating with industry-leading partners.
Mercedes is moving towards an advanced ecosystem of Robotaxi by partnering with key players in the industry. The company has also integrated this system with its recently launched S-Class and will be also integrating this into its next upcoming electric cars.
Mercedes calls it ‘fail-safe operation’ as it is equipped with the steering, braking, compute and power supply and its MB.OS infotainment screen. It serves as a perfect foundation for driverless taxi service operated in America, Asia, Europe and Middle east.
For creating an open ecosystem, there are huge complexities involved and that’s why Mercedes-Benz integrates SAE-Level 4 development which will be implemented in various projects around the world with various key leaders, by utilizing the potential of its proprietary operating system MB.OS.
