Ather 450S has been introduced at Rs 1.45 Lakh, featuring a larger battery and substantial Range of 161 Km.

Ather Energy has launched a new version of Ather 450S especially for those users who prioritize longer range on a single charge with a substantially bigger battery pack, as it is fueled by a 3.7 kWh battery pack, the newly updated 450S now offers an IDC certified range of 161 Km on a single charge, which is truly impressive.

This version of the Ather 450S is available at an introductory price of Rs 1,45,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), thus it is ideal for those users who want to unleash the full potential of the 450 platform, with the comfortability of extended range. 

This launch proves that Ather is still focussing on its 450 lineup and expanding it by introducing new variants. However, the 450X is still the top-spec in this range with advanced features, but the smart integration of this new 450S smartly fulfills the gap between the entry-level 2.9 kWh version and the feature-packed 450X. 

The inclusion of this version brings the same level of performance to a wider section of users as it is more accessible because of its cost-effective price. The battery pack of 450S continues to be attached on the floorboard, just as the 450X. 

Ather 450S 3.7 kWh: What’s New?

The new variant incorporates the same Ather’s signature sporty design language and features sharp lines, sleek yet sporty LED lighting, robust build quality, that users expect at this price point. Ather claims that despite the inclusion of a larger battery pack, the scooter remains lightweight and gets sharper handling especially on high speeds, thus giving it a sporty handling. 

POWER: The 450S with the 3.7 kWh battery pack is powered by the same motor churning a peak torque of 22 Nm and generating 5.4 kW of maximum power, which allows the scooter to achieve a top speed of 90 Km/hr, and accelerating from 0-40 km/hr in just 3.9 seconds. 

The Ather 450S helps the user to extract power by offering four drive modes which includes Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, and Sport, so that users can have a perfect balance of efficiency and thrill, depending on which mode they are driving.

Features: The scooter provides various practical features as well, which includes a 7-inch DeepView display, Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation. 

• There are a variety of safety features on offer such as AutoHold, FallSafe, Emergency Stop Signal, and theft alerts. There is a frequent update in OTA software and it ensures the vehicle is up-to-date with latest improvements. 
• The charging is managed by an enhanced charging network via Ather’s fast-growing Grid network which has more than 3,300 points across India, and it also provides a home charging setup that can charge the battery from 0-80% in just 4.5 hours. 
• Ather also provides ‘Ather Eight70’ warranty with the scooter which offers 8 years or 80,000 Km of battery protection.
