ESR Group Limited with its subsidiaries has launched its first integrated EV charging infrastructure at its 89 acre Grade A Taloja Industrial and Logistics park in India. This new EV charging station fully generates power by renewable energy by ESR’s solar roof panels attached to the charging station.

This initiative follows ESR’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) 2030 vision to produce zero emissions and drive sustainability in the company’s working, thus creating an infrastructure for a cleaner, and eco-friendly logistics mobility in Maharashtra.

Charging Capacity and Power Generation

The EV charging station has capacity to charge up to 10 EVs and a different type of EVs simultaneously, which provides access to the different businesses and people living across ESR Taloja’s 14 buildings spanning 1.9 million square feet (1,75,000 sq. meters) of space.

For Four wheelers, six charging stations have been designed with the power capacity of 7.4 kW, while the remaining stations are for two-wheelers with the power capacity of 3.3 kW.

ESR is actively looking for opportunities to expand their EV charging network across the country to offer more sustainable modes of charging to customers. This effort will fulfill the growing demand and adoption of EVs, followed by government incentives and innovations in battery technology.

The vision of ESR is to develop an eco-friendly ecosystem to meet the demands of increasing customers in its domain. All 22 ESR industrial and logistics parks in India are certified from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), with ESR Taloja getting Gold Certification.

The buildings are integrated with a variety of sustainable building features, such as water-efficient designs that significantly reduce the tenants overall operational costs. ESR will be installing rooftop solar panels across their buildings to maximise renewable energy generation.

The CEO of ESR India, Abhijit Malkani said, “Understanding the critical need for sustainable development, ESR is dedicated to being a proactive steward that transforms our business practices. We are cultivating a business environment that emphasizes sustainable methods while also boosting operational efficiency and delivering enduring value to our stakeholders.

India's EV market is on the brink of a significant shift, with growth evident throughout the EV supply chain, from cutting-edge manufacturing to logistics, driven by strong demand. We take pride in leading the charge to enable our customers to manage their logistics operations in a way that is both efficient and environmentally friendly.
