The Harrier EV presents a classic, eye-catching, and upright design that offers a remarkable road presence, especially with the gorgeous matte black finish of the car we examined. Surely, the car has got attractive looks and commands a big yet imposing overall stance as compared to other vehicles in competition. 

The DRLs at the back of the vehicle accentuate the electric SUV's modern aesthetics, establishing a distinct visual identity on the road that distinguishes it from other cars, and this is pretty much evident at night, as mentioned by the owner. 

However, if you are buying the Stealth Edition with a matte finish, it is highly advisable to apply a Paint Protection Film (PPF), just after the delivery, in order to protect your colour from unnecessary scratches.

The Dolby Atmos powered audio system makes your car a mini-theater, which is just perfect for long charging breaks. Apart from this it also comes with a surround-view camera system which provides camera view from multiple angles and it also houses a transparent view which even provides what’s underneath the car. 

The car also provides a live recording of up to seven days which is an additional offering for those who are security conscious. Speaking about the comfort, it is just on another level with supremely comfortable yet plush seats that provide ventilation with memory functions. 

There is also an increased level of accessibility for the rear passengers as they can even adjust the front passenger seat, a quite smart integration by Tata. The interiors also feel roomy as it opens space for massive light followed by a big panoramic sunroof. 

The Driving Experience: A Silent Beast

Just get behind the wheel of the Harrier EV, and it feels like a silent sports car; the acceleration is absolutely thrilling, particularly in Sports Mode, which gives the users an outstanding boost as explained by the owner and the best part about driving a performance EVs are you don’t even realise that you have crossed triple-digit speeds as there is pin-drop silence due to 0% noise. Indeed the best part about EVs!!

The car’s power can be tapped via multiple driving modes, including a ‘Wet’ Mode which intelligently turns off the regenerative braking tuned for safer driving in the rains, as turning off the regen helps the EVs tyres from skidding in wet conditions. 

However, the lane alignment feature is a bit complex to understand and apply in the Indian roads, which is a great safety addition and promotes disciplined driving. 

Tata Harrier EV Stealth Edition Real World Range & Charging

Now this is the important question which arises in every buyer’s mind, what’s the real-world range? Just ignoring the company claimed figure of 623 Km, Mr Harsh recorded a consistent real-world range of around 450-480 Km on a single charge on the bigger 75 kWh battery pack, which is impressive for the electric SUV powered with two electric motors. 

However, charging is not that seamless, as the car doesn’t come with a standard 7.2 kW charger, the user has to purchase it separately. As the car is powered by a big battery pack, thus it can take a considerable amount of time to charge with a home charger, so it is best to plug it in overnight. 

Tata Harrier EV Stealth Edition Pros & Cons

PROS: 

• Stunning Looks: Surely, the matte Black Edition is really attractive and turns heads on the road. 
• Powerful: Harrier EV is loaded with tons of power which is pretty much apparent in acceleration, mainly in Sports Mode. 
• Feature-Packed Interior: The Harrier EV comes loaded with advanced technological features that just elevates the driving experience. 
• Decent Real World Range: Extracting 450-480 Km of range on a single charge is quite practical especially for this size of the car. 
• Safety: Comes standard with 9 airbags and Tata branding ensures tough build quality, so in this criteria, you are into safe hands. 

CONS: 

• Delivery Issues: As per the Owner, he faced several quality control issues at the time of the delivery, which just impacted the brand presence and raised questions on the fit and finish. 
• Software Problems: going by the reputation of Tata, their new cars are prone to minor glitches and few hiccups. 
• Charging Cable Not Provided: Users have to buy 7.2 kW chargers at extra cost as it is not included with such a big SUV, sounds shocking. 
• Service & Support: The service and support of Tata still have issues as due to multiple criticism by users. 
• Long Charging Times: Full charging takes a considerable amount of time with AC chargers.

Despite some technical glitches and a few hiccups, the owner is super happy with his purchase and is blown away by Harrier EV’s performance and power. The Harrier EV provides a striking balance between style, performance, and technology.
