Kia has introduced a new HTX E variant in its Carens Clavis EV lineup, which will be positioned between the HTK+ and HTX variants. The standard version of the HTX E is available at a price of Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Extended Range variant is priced at Rs 21.99 Lakh (Ex-Showroom).

Kia Carens Clavis EV HTX E: What’s New? 

The HTX E variant comes with a host of newly added features as compared to the base HTK+ variant, as it includes 64-colour ambient lighting, leatherate upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with tilt and telescopic functionality, retractable seatback table, voice-enabled auto up/down feature for all windows, LED interior lights, an anti-glare interior rearview mirror (IRVM) and a touch enabled air purifier.

Talking about the interiors, it comes with dual-tone beige and a completely new navy blue theme, followed by the extended range variant featuring 17-inch alloy wheels. All these features are already standard with the high-spec HTX variant. 

The only difference between HTX E and HTX is the addition of ADAS functionality. However, the features on the top of the line HTX+ variant remains the same with no changes.

Kia Carens Clavis HTX E Battery & Performance

The HTX E trim comes with an option of standard and extended battery pack options. The standard variant is powered by a 42 kWh battery pack with a ARAI-claimed range of 404 Km on a single charge. The single mounted motor produces a maximum power output of 135 BHP and 255 Nm of peak torque. 

The substantial 51.4 kWh battery pack generates a maximum power of 171 HP at a peak torque of 255 Nm, returning an ARAI-claimed range of 490 Km on a single charge.
