Kia is excited to announce the upcoming launch of the Clavis EV, introducing its first electric vehicle to the Indian market. But the company is also testing Syros EV and is preparing its potential EV line-up for India. This ensures that the company has confirmed the final specifications of the Syros and conducts tests on public roads to analyse how it performs in real-world scenarios.

The company will be following a structured sequence and will be launching the Clavis EV first in the Indian market and after that Kia will introduce the Syros EV in India, and is expected to launch the car till year end. 

Syros EV Test Model

According to various sources, the Syros EV was spotted at a charging station and was fully covered with camouflage, so the exact design highlights of the car are still not revealed by the company. The Syros EV will go head-to-head with competitors like the MG Windsor EV and Tata Punch EV.

The Syros EV is expected to feature various EV tweaks such as revised bumper and a completely new alloy wheel design, so as to make it unique from the regular ICE models of Syros. However, The Syros EV could share the majority of the features with the ICE equipped Syros. 

These identical features include Advanced Driver Aids System Level 2, 360 Degree Camera, wireless charger, digital instrument control, and automatic A/C integrated with a substantial touchscreen infotainment system with EV enabled software. However, the Syros EV could also be getting some segment first features such as reclining, sliding and ventilated second-row of seats. 

Kia Carens Clavis EV Upcoming Launch

Currently, Kia is focussing on the launch of their first all-electric MPV Carens Clavis EV, which is slated to be introduced on July 15. This is a joint product from the sibling company of South Korean automotive leader, which is under the Hyundai group. It will also be the first electric car to be launched in India by the brand and will be a new option for users looking for EVs in the MPV segment. 

POWER: Kia has revealed through a social media post that the Carens Clavis EV will return an impressive range of up to 490 Km on a single charge. The electric motor powering the Kia Carens will generate a peak power output of 133 BHP in the 42 kWh battery pack, and a substantial power of 169 BHP in the larger 51.4 kWh battery pack.
