Compage Automation Systems has unveiled a new range of high-capacity heavy-rare-earth-free Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSMs) which includes 90 kW, 120 kW, 180 kW, 250 kW, and 300 kW variants.

The company is also focussing on heavy customer-level testing of motors, with ongoing tests at a Kolkata-based OEM construction especially in construction and mining segments. This launch will be beneficial for Indian electric bus OEMs who can utilise these motors manufactured in-house.

The Director & CTO of Compage Automation Systems explained their new motors in detail, he further explained, “We use NdFeB light rare-earth magnets that do not include heavy rare-earth elements. The magnet material is utilised from China, but it doesn’t come under restricted or banned categories as all components are locally assembled in India.”

The motors are currently manufactured at our in-house facility in Faridabad, Haryana and are currently in the testing phase with direct-level testing currently underway.
