Blue Energy Motors has launched an electric Heavy Duty Truck that incorporates battery swapping technology.
Blue Energy Motors, which is an electric commercial truck manufacturer has introduced an all-new electric heavy-duty truck which comes with their in-house state-of-the-art battery swapping technology at its Chakan manufacturing facility located in Pune, which has a production capacity of 10,000 units.
The truck was launched by Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis who also introduced a dedicated electric corridor between Mumbai and Pune. This corridor is the country’s first electric highway corridor and will be expanding to connect other major electric corridors in the coming three years.
This initiative will be made to support the country's sustainable goals ensuring cleaner freight transport and net zero emissions. Let’s discuss important features of the newly launched electric trucks.

Electric Truck Features
- The new truck features an integrated battery swapping technology which provides extended range ensuring seamless longer runs on a single charge. The electric truck is powered by a 282 kWh swappable LFP battery which comes with a module-to-bracket design.
- It comes with a significant range of 200 Km on a single charge.
- It comes equipped with a substantial Permanent Magnet Synchronous motor (PMSM) generating 480 HP of maximum power at 1,990 RPM.
- The electric truck has a gross combination weight GCW of 55T integrated with a 3-axle trailer.
- Kerb Weight: 8.8T (Without Trailer).
- Gradability - 24%
- It also comes with the Energy-as-a-Service module especially for heavy-duty commercial trucks.
