The price of the base variant of the BYD Sealion 7 has risen by Rs 50,000.

BYD India has hiked the price of BYD Sealion 7 by Rs 50,000 at the start of 2026. The Sealion 7, which was introduced in February 2025 faces stiff competition from entry-level electric luxury crossovers such as the BMW iX1 LWB, Tesla Model Y, Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Volvo EC40. 

2026 BYD Sealion 7 Price Increase 

Just before the price revision, the BYD Sealion 7 was available at an introductory price of Rs 48.9 lakh for the base Premium variant and goes up to Rs 54.9 lakh for the top of the line Performance variant. Now the electric SUV costs Rs 49.4 lakh for the base Premium variant, while the top-spec Performance variant’s price remains the same. 

However, those buyers who book the electric SUV on or before 31 December, 2025 will be eligible for the old ex-showroom prices. The Chinese manufacturer has revealed that they have sold more than 2,300 units of the BYD Sealion 7 in India, since its debut last year. 

BYD Sealion 7 Battery & Performance 

The Sealion 7 comes equipped with a 82.56 kWh LFP battery pack. It is powered by a rear-mounted motor generating a maximum power of 313 Hp and 380 Nm of peak torque. 

Performance Variant: However, the Sealion 7 Performance variant adds a motor to the front axle as well integrated with an AWD configuration, which takes the power to 530 Hp and a mighty torque of 690 Nm. The Sealion 7 provides a significant range of 482 Km for the Premium variant, followed by 456 Km for the top-spec Performance variant.
