CHARGEZONE has announced that they have finalized long-term contracts for EV charging with a potential value of more than USD 1 billion (Approximately INR 10,500 Crore) across intercity electric buses, commercial electric trucks, and car fleets.

The proposed demand will support CHARGEZONE’s planned expansion, which also includes the deployment of 1,000 new charging stations across major highway corridors

CHARGEZONE Long Term Charging Contracts

The company has secured USD 25 million (Rs 250 Crore) specifically in debt financing from Indian banks. The company is also planning to raise an additional USD 100 million during 2026-27. These funds will be further invested for charging stations, micro-grid infrastructure, energy-management technologies and network expansion.

This planned expansion is expected to contribute 180 MW of charging capacity, increasing CHARGEZONE’s cumulative network capacity from 120 MW to 300 MW.

At its full deployment, the company is expecting that its diversification in the network will generate 700 GWh of energy annually and support more than 15,000 charging sessions per day. The average network utilisation is expected to reach around 30%, as compared to the current utilization of 14%.

The company is also expecting new charging stations to support more than 15,000 EVs daily across the contracted fleets. As per CHARGEZONE, the usual routes and recurring charging requirements of commercial fleets provide a greater picture of expected energy demand and charging capacity requirements.
