Chargezone has expanded its partnership with Ador-Quench (Quench Chargers) in order to deploy made-in-India DC fast-charging infrastructure across 1,000 new charging locations across the country. The advanced infrastructure is aimed at enhancing Chargezone’s existing charging capacity to an impressive 300 MW.

ChargeZone EV charging network: 120kW to 480kW

This rollout is catered for ultra-fast charging needs. The newly developed infrastructure is equipped with dispenser systems with a capacity ranging from 120 kW to all the way up to 480 kW.

  • For Passenger Cars: The 120 kW DC chargers will be installed along highways and intercity routes, thus providing access to electric car owners to get a rapid top-up during a quick coffee break.
  • For Commercial Giants: The massive 360 kW and 480 kW dispensers are specially designed to cater to the charging needs for electric buses, trucks and commercial fleet operators.

The "Made-in-India" Advantage

The major highlight of this rollout is the localised manufacturing, as Quench Chargers is a subsidiary of Ador Powertron, which supplies the equipment. The company has successfully installed more than 1,500 DC fast chargers across the country.

These chargers are strictly “Made in India” which also includes the critical rectifier and controller modules. They comprise a modular 30 kW AC-DC converter architecture, which allows operators to enhance the power output based on the installation site. It also provides a claimed energy efficiency of over 96%, as the hardware is developed to minimise power loss.

Smarter Tech for a Seamless Experience

The new Quench Chargers will also come with Chargezone’s in-house developed ChargeCloud system. This will track real-time monitoring of the stations, thus ensuring maximum uptime and a frictionless plug-and-play experience for users.
