Electric cars are getting increasingly popular in the Indian passenger vehicle segment. Looking at the statistics of previous years, there is a spike in the demand for electric vehicles in the country. This is due to the less running costs, zero carbon emissions, and low maintenance cost as compared to traditional ICE cars. 

The growth of electric vehicles has also led to advancements in electric mobility by the introduction of various technologies such as (Vehicle to Load) V2L and (Vehicle To Vehicle) V2V. The next generation electric cars are loaded with these advanced technologies, in order to make the transportation efficient and reliable. 

Vehicle To Load (V2L) Technology

The V2L technology is basically using the EV’s battery as a power source to charge other electrical appliances and gadgets by using its remaining power as a charging source. Thus with the help of this technology, users can charge their electrical appliances by using the car’s battery. 

Vehicle To Vehicle (V2V) Technology

The V2V technology is basically using the EV’s battery as a power source to charge other electric vehicle’s batteries using the EV’s battery’s remaining power as a main source of energy. The V2V technology is quite useful for charging other electric cars on the go through the primary car’s battery, thus very important at places where there are no charging stations. 

There are various cars which are loaded with V2V and V2L technologies. Tata Motors has a 85% market share in the Indian EV Automotive industry and is leading the market with a variety of electric cars to choose from, irrespective of the different budget and preferences of the consumers.
