JK Fenner ventures into e-axle production by forming a technology partnership with NMC Motors from Korea.

In a significant move, JK Fenner India Ltd is partnering with NMC Motors, a Korean electric motor manufacturer, to form a technological alliance. This agreement was signed in Chennai on June 5, 2025.

Headquartered in Chennai, JK Fenner India Ltd concentrates on power transmission systems, fluid transfer systems, and sealing systems aimed at the automotive market.

The contract specifies that JK Fenner will manage the production process for e-axles, with a particular emphasis on electric three-wheelers and small commercial vehicles (SCVs). However, there is also a future possibility to expand it to electric four-wheelers. 

The company is planning to start up their manufacturing facility specifically concentrating on e-axles for three-wheelers, followed by a technical supervision from NMC Motors. 

As per the company associates, currently JK Fenner is supplying transmission and sealing systems for electric vehicles and will be expanding the technological alliance in order to evolve in the continually growing electric sector in both international and local markets. The company is also showing its interest in India’s transition to electric transportation.
