Kia announces the PV7, solidifying its position with a second electric van offering.

Kia has introduced the PV7 as its second electric van in its international lineup, as it will be positioned above the PV5 that was launched in 2025. It will be coming with two configurations: Passenger & Cargo. The Passenger version can seat up to 11 or up to 9 occupants, depending on the market, while the Cargo model can accommodate 1,200 Kg of load.

Kia PV7 Battery & Power 

POWER: The Kia PV7 is available with a 71.5 kWh and a substantial 96.2 kWh battery pack, which comes with a WLTP-claimed range of 460 Km on a single charge. It also comes with a front-axle mounted (FWD) electric motor that generates 268 Hp of power and 400 Nm of peak torque. 

Kia has also confirmed that the PV7 will be powered by a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD), after the launch, which will be introduced to the Korean and European markets in the second half of 2027.

The Kia PV7 is developed on a 800V E-GMP.S architecture that also underpins the smaller PV5. It also supports a 350 kW DC fast charger, allowing it to charge from 10-80% in just 20 mins of rapid charging. The PV7 also comes with dual charging ports, which also includes AC/DC charging port and an optional rear-side AC charging port. 

Kia PV7 Design 

Visually, the Kia PV7 shares similar design cues from the PV5 and retains the snub-nosed look as the PV5, but it is stretched to make buyers comfortable who haul more passengers or load. It also features C-shaped LED DRLs and slim LED headlights integrated with a black trim. 

The grille and the bumper is also black and gets silver trim for added contrast. At the sides, both the passenger and cargo versions come with powered sliding doors and the cargo versions also provide the option of manually controlled doors. The Passenger version comes with a larger glass area integrated by blacked-out pillars. 

The Cargo version gets metal-covered pillars. Both versions feature the same wheel-arch cladding, which extends to the lower edge of the PV7. The rear comes with slim wraparound taillights as Kia is offering the passenger version with a traditional lift-up tailgate and the Cargo version is equipped with additional twin-swing tailgate choice.

Kia PV7 Interior Design and Features

• The interiors of the PV7 has a strong resemblance to the PV5, as it comes with a squared-off steering wheel and a 14.6-inch infotainment system powered by Pleos Connect System featuring Android Automotive OS.

• Safety features include 7 airbags, roof-attached co-driver airbag that provides additional dashboard storage and a Level 2 ADAS. 
• The PV7 Passenger version is also available in 7-seater configuration with removable seats in order to create additional space for luggage. 
• The Cargo version gets a bench seat at the front that can easily accommodate up to 3 passengers. When not in use, the middle seat can be easily folded to become a center armrest.
