Ultraviolette is aiming to achieve a production capacity of 3 lakh units by the middle of 2027

Ultraviolette is planning to achieve an annual manufacturing capacity of approximately 3 lakh units by next year, as confirmed by The Co-Founder and CEO Narayan Subramaniam. This figure aligns with the 2.5-lakh unit capacity of the brand’s new BIGGA Factory in Hosur, with an increased capacity of 50,000 units at the company’s existing Bengaluru plant, which is also updated. 

The company is planning to invest a total of Rs 1,000 crores across both facilities over the next 5 years. The classification stands at Rs 200 crore allocated for the Bengaluru plant and 800 crore for the new Hosur facility. 

Ultraviolette Production Capacity 2027

The Tesseract electric scooter, which was scheduled to launch this year has been delayed as the company has decided to redesign the vehicle around the 100-Volt architecture. The change included a realignment of multiple systems, which also comprises the battery pack, battery management system, motor controllers, and charging hardware.

Thus these changes added at least 8 to 10 months to the development timeline. The scooter is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2027. As per Ultraviolette, looking at the current bookings and demand, the upcoming scooter could garner 10,000 units per month for the Tesseract. 

Alongside the Tesseract, the company is also planning to launch the Shockwave electric motorcycle next year. Thus with these launches, Ultraviolette’s existing lineup will include four motorcycles and two scooters. The BIGGA factory’s first phase is expected to become operational between Q1 and Q2 2027.
