JSW MG Motor partners with Spinny to enhance used EV sales.

Popular used car platform Spinny has finalised their partnership with JSW MG Motor India in order to establish a structured secondary market for pre-owned EV used cars. This strategic alliance will eradicate key challenges in the secondary EV market which includes customer uncertainty surrounding real-time battery degradation, residual valuation and long-term diagnostic verification. 

JSW MG & Spinny Partnership Details 

Under this agreement, Spinny will bring specialised EV evaluation rules across its network and will utilise technical inputs from JSW MG Motor India. This inspection procedure involves standardized battery health assessment and certification processes which will provide accurate valuation metrics for both buyers and sellers.

This joint EV evaluation programme was initially implemented across major urban centers like Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Chandigarh, and Coimbatore.  

This process further allows consumers to list out and purchase pre-owned MG models like Comet EV, Windsor EV, and the ZS EV directly via Spinny’s digital platform and physical car hubs. Vehicles processed through this framework will go through a 200-point inspection process, OEM warranty continuity, fixed pricing assurance, and five-day money back guarantee. 

The used EV cars will go through technical refurbishment at Spinny’s network of Integrated Restoration Centers, which are being updated with special EV diagnostic tools and battery restoration systems.
