Mahindra XEV 9S introduced with 679 Km of Range and three battery-pack options.

Mahindra has launched its third electric SUV, the XEV 9S at an introductory price of Rs 19.95 lakh (ex-showroom) for the entry-level Pack One Above model. Thus it costs around Rs 1.95 lakhs lower than the XEV 9e, as both models are underpinned by the INGLO platform. 

Mahindra XEV 9S Design 

The XEV 9S has a striking resemblance to the XEV 9e and the XUV.e8 concept showcased in 2022. However, the side view is more like the regular XUV 700 with a clean and modern design element that provides a fresh electric look without following the modern approach. 

The wheelbase measures at 2,762 mm, 915 mm of overhangs present at the front and rear cabin and luggage space of 1,099 mm, providing a balanced stance to the overall proportions of the SUV. The rear is identical to the XUV 700, with smoked LED tail-lamps and a redesigned bumper. 

Mahindra XEV 9S Features 

The cabin of the XEV 9S features a triple-screen layout just like the XEV 9e including a digital instrument cluster and infotainment screens seamlessly merging with the dashboard. There is an addition of two separate screens for second-row occupants, mounted at the back of the seats taking the total count to five screens. Other features include

Mahindra XEV 9S Battery & Performance 

Mahindra is providing three battery-pack options, with all having a fast charging support of up to 175 kW. The XEV 9S can sprint from 0-100 kph in just 7 seconds with a claimed top speed of 202 kph. However do note that 7.2 kWh and 11.2 kW chargers come at an additional cost of Rs 50,000 and Rs 75,000. All are mentioned below.
