- This 7-seater electric SUV is decently priced and prioritises on comfort and practicality.
- Visually appealing front-end styling makes it unique from the competition. It has a solid road presence and the traditional SUV styling will make it attractive to a wider section of audience than the XEV 9e’s coupe-like design, which isn't favourable to everyone’s likes.

Mahindra XEV 9S CONS:
- Almost negligible boot space with all three rows up, The XEV 9s can comfortably carry either 5 onboard or 7 with a roof-top carrier.
- The low-speed ride is inconsistent, while it is better than XEV 9e, but we expected to be a bit more absorbent. In comparison, the Harrier EV’s ride felt more plush.

- Mahindra’s after-sales service is a hit or miss. It remains a gamble until you get a good service from a respective dealer.
- Shockingly, the XEV 9S is only available with a rear-wheel drive configuration. They could have provided an option of an All-Wheel Drive (AWD), like in the Harrier EV.
- The 3rd-row seat is cramped and can accommodate children only.
- The XEV 9S gets various missing features such as no V2V & V2L functions, cooled glovebox, electric tailgate, and no physical buttons for the HVAC controls.

- Some cabin plastics didn’t feel premium in an otherwise feature-loaded SUV.
- The overall built quality and fit & finish is decent, but still Mahindra could have used more premium quality materials to make the cabin feel plusher.
