Montra Electric, which is the green arm of the Murugappa group has entered into a joint venture with Green Drive Mobility in order to support the deployment of EVs aimed for logistical operations in India. This agreement states that Montra Electric will be delivering 50 EVIATOR electric small commercial vehicles (e-SCVs) over the period of next three months. 

Montra Electric’s EVIATOR will be equipped with a software-defined vehicle (SDV) platform and enhanced telematics systems. The electric vehicle has been exclusively designed for good transportation and provides features which helps in load-carrying, energy, efficiency and digital integration. According to partnership, in total of 50 EVIATOR units will be supplied in systematic phases. 

All of these vehicles will be integrated into Green Drive Mobility’s operations which comprises real-time tracking, route planning, and data-driven performance measurement.

The spokesperson for Montra, Mr. Hari Krishna also expressed by saying, “The support of Montra Electric’s EVIATOR will help us in providing zero-emission logistics solutions for our ESG-focussed organizations. And in addition they also provide advanced telematics and real-time data to increase our fleet performance and operational planning. 

This alliance will lead to an instant boost towards electric mobility in India, and will focus on developing commercial applications in logistics and overall improving the mobility.
