Tata Sierra EV's interior design has been revealed through a Leaked Patent.

Tata’s most anticipated yet unique car, the Sierra EV, is launching in India this year. With the Sierra branding, Tata is hitting the nostalgia of its original Sierra by launching a modern yet revised version of the car. The company displayed the near-production model at the Auto Expo 2023, but some details were still wrapped in the concept design, especially the interiors.
Finally a leaked patent image gives us the first glimpse of the production-spec Sierra’s interior design. Let’s take a closer look at the interiors.
- Dashboard: The Sierra EV dashboard will be slightly different from Sierra Petrol and Diesel.
- Seating Options: Sierra EV will be available with 5-Seat and 4-Seat lounge options, catering to diverse customers around the range.
Sierra EV Interior Design
Taking a closer look at the interiors of the Sierra clearly indicates that the interiors of the production-spec model will be similar to the concept only. The dashboard features a large central touchscreen (likely 12-Inch), that’s integrated with the digital instrument cluster.
The AC vents are located below the touchscreen, and are bigger as displayed at the concept, while the side AC vents are smoothly placed with horizontal lines running across the dashboard, giving it a sportier look. The steering wheel is similar to what is seen in Harrier and Safari.
The dashboard features an appealing stepped design that gracefully descends, and there is also an addition of a centrally mounted speaker, which comes unchanged from the concept, thus elevating the sound experience.
The moss inserts from the concept do not come with the production model, as it is expected that Tata Motors can offer it as an accessory, in order to customize the interiors. This could also come with mini flower vases for the door pads, fold out tray tables, and ambient lamp inserts.
Sierra Seating Configurations
The Sierra EV is expected to come with 4-seat lounge configuration and a regular bench type rear seat with ottoman function for the rear seats. The Sierra EV is also expected to retain the touch-based HVAC panel and drive selector lever from the Curvv EV.
The center console will also retain the floating design with additional storage spaces below, as displayed on the concept.
Different Interior Design: What’s interesting about Sierra EV is that it will be having a completely different dashboard from the Petrol Sierra, as the interiors were displayed earlier this year at the Auto Expo 2025 with a triple screen setup, adding the overall width of the dashboard.
- This is quite unusual for ICE and EV models, which is pretty evident in Tata’s own lineup, but it will help in differentiating the two powertrains with a unique design.
Tata Sierra EV Technical Specifications, Expected Launch
Currently, the technical specifications of Tata Sierra are not revealed, so there are only speculations and rumors surrounding the Sierra. However, it is expected that Tata Sierra will be sharing the Tata’s Acti.EV architecture with the Curvv EV.
Tata will be positioning the Sierra EV above the Curvv and below the upcoming Harrier EV. The Sierra EV will come with a front-wheel drive, as compared to the Harrier EV, which will have AWD powertrains. The prices for the Sierra EV is expected to be in the range of Rs 20-25 Lakh (Ex-Showroom).
The Sierra EV is expected to launch in India by the end of 2025, after the ICE-powered variants go on sale. The Sierra EV will be placed in the segment of midsize electric SUVs, and will be competing with the likes of Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, and upcoming Maruti e-Vitara.
