Tata Sierra EV launch details and All you need to know

Tata Motors will be unveiling its most anticipated Sierra EV at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025. Tata has also slated to launch Harrier EV and Safari EV. Tata has designed the Sierra EV on the Acti.ev platform, which is earlier used on the Punch EV and the Curvv EV. The Sierra concept EV was also showcased previously, however Tata gave a glimpse of different phases of the concept earlier and this time, it could be displayed in the exact production form.
Sierra Design
Visually the Sierra EV has got some instantly recognizable design from the original Sierra from the 90s. Tata has played really smart here as they want to give the same heritage look of the car with heavily updated tech.
- Sierra EV will get the signature curved-over rear-side windows, which was also present in the original car.
- The concept is reminiscent of the original Sierra and is expected to make its debut.
- Sierra EV will be coming with a 5-seater layout and there is also the possibility of a 4-seater variant with lounge seating like style, giving the customers a wide variety of options to choose from.
Technical Specifications
There are many speculations but not much has been revealed about its technical specifications but most probably Tata can give Sierra a dual-motor AWD setup like the Harrier EV.
Gen 2 Architecture
Tata has designed the Sierra EV on their latest Gen 2 architecture, but they have heavily re-engineered it to increase the performance of the electric motors with increased efficiency. The Gen 2 architecture is based on the X4 platform, which is already seen on Tata Altroz.

Expected Price
Sierra is a widely recognized name in India and has got the nostalgia, which Tata is banking on, but it can fall in the range of Curvv EV, Creta Electric, and E-vitara, but this nostalgia can help Tata to position it above the Curvv EV. According to our understanding Tata could price this popular SUV between 20 Lakh to 25 Lakh price bracket. Thus with this pricing they are creating a psychological mindshift of the customer to opt for their popular SUV instead of going with Creta Electric or E-vitara.
