Tata Sierra EV Real-World Range Test 2026 Explained | 1000 KM in Just 80 Min Charge!
The Sierra EV is recently launched in the mid-size electric SUV segment and comes powered with a 63 kWh and substantial 75 kWh battery pack. We recently had a talk with the tester of the Sierra EV in order to know the exact real-world range he was able to extract with the Sierra EV.
According to the test, the Sierra EV provided a real-world range between 466 - 546 Km in mixed driving conditions. The real-world range test was done on a top-spec 75 kWh All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant during a 1,012 km journey from Coimbatore to Chennai and back to test the performance of the electric SUV in real-world conditions.

Tata claims a practical range of 510 Km to 530 Km for the top of the line AWD version. But how does it actually work when you add in factors like weather, AC usage, and elevation changes? To find out, we drove the car to 1% SOC twice and below are the results achieved.

|
Drive Phase |
Distance Covered (100% to 1%) |
Weather & Terrain |
|
Night Drive (Outbound) |
546.1 Km |
Cool (28°C) & slightly Downhill |
|
Day Drive (Return) |
466 Km |
Hot (34°C) & slightly Uphill |
The cooler night temperatures and slight downhill gradient allowed us to beat the real-world range by achieving an impressive 546 Km on a single charge. However, during the hotter daytime return trip, with continuous AC cooling and elevation, the real-world range has significantly reduced to 466 Km.

Tata Sierra EV Charging Experience
One of the biggest highlights of the 1,012 km, the Sierra EV was only charged once. During charging with the 90 kW DC fast charger, the Sierra EV’s charging speeds were highly practical for longer journeys.
