2025 Tesla Model Y spotted testing on the streets of India.

 In India, Tesla is rigorously testing its 2025 Model Y, which was observed on the Mumbai Pune Expressway, shrouded in significant camouflage. According to news from various sources, Tesla will be commencing its first showroom in Mumbai and will be selling their electric cars through imports.

The company has already started its hiring in India and there are speculations that the company will launch Model Y in the Indian markets, which is quite a smart decision by Tesla as the model Y has a SUV body shape, which is most popular in the country at the current moment. 

The Model Y also has a raised up ground clearance which is an added advantage in India, considering the roads India have. The company was also testing the previous generation of Model 3, but due to its low ground clearance, Tesla was facing significant issues. 

Model Y Powertrains

In the International markets, the Model Y comes with a single long range battery pack and is equipped with an all-wheel drive powertrain. Tesla claims an EPA-rated range of 526 Km on a single charge and can achieve a top speed of 200 Kmph. Model Y can go from 0-100 Kmph in just 4.6 seconds, pretty impressive!

This electric SUV will get a variety of colour options to choose from: Stealth Grey, Pearl White, Deep Blue Metallic, Diamond Black, Ultra Red and Quick Silver. The interior shade has two colour options, Black & White and all-black. 

The Model Y has also been revised with a major facelift, as there is an addition of new lighting elements in the front and rear to give a refreshed look. The interiors are meticulously designed with new ambient lighting, ventilated seats, upgraded touchscreen and soft touch finish. 

Suspension: The Model Y has also received upgrades in the suspension as Tesla has retuned the suspension and made steering responsive. The inclusion of acoustic glass helps to minimize the noise from the road and tires that enters the cabin.

• Other features in the facelifted Model Y include powered seats with heating and ventilation system, 15 speakers and 1 subwoofer, hands free trunk and 8 cameras for enhanced visibility.
• Tesla has loaded the Model Y with advanced safety features such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Blind-Spot Collision Warning and Lane Departure Avoidance.
