Kia EV6 is a flagship electric SUV from the brand and comes with an option of a single 77.4 kWh battery pack across its variants. The replacement cost of Kia EV6’s high-voltage battery ranges from Rs 11-13 lakh, excluding the labor costs.

Kia EV6 Battery Warranty

Kia provides a comprehensive warranty on the EV6’s high-voltage battery of 8 years or 1,60,000 km, whichever comes first. This warranty ensures that the lithium-ion battery should maintain at least 70% of its original capacity. The battery is further eligible for repairs or replacement if it falls below this threshold within the warranty period.

Kia also provides 3 years of standard vehicle warranty with unlimited kilometres and also provides warranty of 36 months or 1,50,000 km covering the motor, EPCU, and onboard charger. If the battery is found defective, the battery will be replaced or repaired with a completely new battery unit. 

Kia also provided an early Bird offer on some initial products which included a 95% buyback policy within 30 days and 5 years of free maintenance. 

COVERAGE: It is important to consider that warranty only covers manufacturing defects or battery loss below 70%. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by improper maintenance, as mentioned in the Kia’s warranty manual.
