2025 Kia EV6 Debuts in India Featuring a Larger Battery and Enhanced Range: What’s New

The updated EV6 from Kia has been officially launched, beginning at an introductory price of Rs 65.90 Lakh (Ex-Showroom). This model was first presented at the Auto Expo 2025 and boasts a range of improvements compared to the earlier version.
The new changes implemented into the Kia EV6 features a new sportier design, and new features inside the cabin that makes it an even more feature rich car. Mechanically, the biggest change in the facelift is the bigger battery, which promises more range than before.

Design
Kia has made subtle changes to the overall design of the car by making the EV6 look more aggressive and sportier than before. The 2025 Kia EV6 comes with new connected LED daytime running lights (DRL), sequential turn indicators, 19-inch aero wheels with glossy finish and LED tail lights. The headlamps and DRLs have a striking resemblance to the Kia EV3 and EV4 concepts.
The top spec GT-Line trim gets upgraded front bumpers, which improves the overall aesthetics of the car. The new LED light strip gives a stylish lighting signature at night. Overall, the new Kia EV6 is sharper and more modern than the previous model.
Colours
The Kia EV 6 facelift comes with five distinctive colours to choose from: Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Wolf Grey, Runway Red, and Yacht Blue Matte.
Interior & Features
The interior of the 2025 Kia EV6 is heavily updated and is equipped with a wide range of new features.
- The new electric car gets a flat-bottom steering wheel, and dual 12.3-inch screens on the dashboard, featuring a panoramic curved display, thus taking the user experience to the next level.
- The dual screen also integrates the touchscreen infotainment display and the instrument cluster.
- The 2025 Kia EV6 also features Kia Connect 2.0 and OTA updates.
- It also comes with Digital Key 2.0, and an updated ADAS suite with 27 advanced driving features, which includes five new autonomous features.
- There is also an addition of a new fingerprint sensor on the two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, which allows the driver to start the car without the need of a physical key, enhancing the accessibility and security.
Battery & Performance
Mechanically, the new 2025 Kia EV6 gets a bigger 84 kWh battery pack as compared to the previous 77.4 kWh. The battery is integrated with dual electric motors, each powering one axle. The bigger battery produces a healthy 320 Bhp of peak power and 605 Nm of maximum torque.
CHARGING: The new Kia EV6 can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes using a 350 kW rapid charger. The ARAI-certified MID range of Kia EV6 is up to 663 Km on a single charge.
The new EV6 is only available with a single and fully loaded GT AWD trim, as the manufacturer has discontinued the RWD variant which was offered in the previous model. The new EV6 is designed on the Korean Manufacturer’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).
