Agratas is speeding up the construction of its Battery facility located in Sanand, Gujarat.
Agratas, which comes as a battery business under the Tata Group has finally entered into the construction of a battery manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat. Currently, the structural steel framework at the site is entering into the final stage of construction.
The facility is 320-Acre with a planned annual production capacity of 20 GWh in the first phase, It will be providing employment opportunities to more than 2,000 construction workers and more than 700 staff members from vendor organisations currently being deployed.
This project falls under the long-term vision of the company to support India’s clean-energy targets and contribute to the overall development of battery cell manufacturing capabilities. Agartas is also working on developing its supply chain for the facility.

These operations will comprise an integrated sales and operations planning system linked according to demand, supply and inventory across imports, exports and domestic movements. Tata Projects Limited and Tata Consulting Engineers are jointly working with Agartas towards the development of the facility for its seamless operations.
The Strategic Business Unit Head, Urban Built Form at Tata Projects, expressed his views and said, “Our Supply chain will provide visibility and speed by design. From automation to sustainable mobility, every aspect has been taken into consideration in order to meet global standards by contributing to India’s clean energy goals.”
