The Ather EL electric scooter platform is set to launch on August 30.

Ather Energy is on the verge of launching their most anticipated new scooter platform, EL, along with a host of new features at their annual Community Day 2025, happening on August 30.

Apart from this, the company is also working on introducing next generation fast chargers to provide seamless charging solutions. Ather is really excited for their community event as their Rizta has also achieved 1 Lakh unit sales milestone. 

Ather EL Platform & New Fast Chargers in Development Stage

At the upcoming Community Day 2025, Ather will showcase its new EL platform, featuring the concept vehicles that have been crafted on this cutting-edge platform. According to Ather, their new EL Platform is developed exclusively for being cost-effective and to enhance reliability which will help the company to diversify its product line-up and cater to a wide range of users according to their budget and preferences. 

If we analyse the current market trends, Ather is the only manufacturer in the electric two-wheeler industry having no scooters in the segment of less than Rs 1 Lakh and that is what is missing in the Ather lineup which the company wants to complete by introducing their new scooters based on the affordable EL platform. 

If we look at the competition in the budget electric two-wheeler segment, many big auto players such as Bajaj, TVS, Ola Electric, Vida (Hero) and Greaves are having at least one scooter in their entire line-up which costs less than Rs 1 Lakh and this new EL platform can fill the company’s empty space in this segment. 

FAST CHARGERS: Ather Energy is also developing a new set of Grid fast chargers and has claimed that they will make the charging process even faster and convenient. For example, the current Ather Grid chargers can charge any Ather e-scooter at the speed of 1.5 Km/min and any Vida e-scooter at the rate of 1.2 Km/min, as the Vida utilises Ather’s open-sourced charger connector. 

The company uses Ather’s products because they enjoy a huge amount of benefits from the system. 

Ather Software Updates: Ather is also known for regularly updating their technology as they will be launching an upgraded version of their software stack called as Ather Stack 7.0, which will be coming with new features as well. 

The Community Day is an important event for the company as they introduce new products, software and services, and also take suggestions from their customers as to how they can improve their products. 

At the previous community day, Ather introduced their first family centric scooter, the Rizta which has recently recorded an important milestone of crossing 1 Lakh sales units, so it will be fascinating to discover what Ather presents at Community Day 2025.
