Ather Rizta achieves a significant milestone by crossing 1 Lakh units in retail sales

Ather Energy proudly announced that their latest Rizta electric scooter has registered record sales in the Indian market in just one year of time frame. It is also the company’s first offering for the Indian market and looking by the sales it feels that it has hit the right chords of the Indian consumers. 

According to Ather Energy, Rizta has achieved nearly 60% of the overall sales for the company since it was introduced last year. Ather introduced the Rizta at Ather Community Day in April 2024 and sales begin from June 2024 across India. 

The launch of Rizta has motivated Ather to diversify its product range and has played a key role in influencing the majority of consumers in the electric two-wheeler segment. 

With the considerable increase in the deliveries in Q2 FY25, and with this the company has witnessed an increase in market share across the key important states such as Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. 

Rizta along with the Ather 450 series has taken Ather to grab the position of the leading brand in South India by Q4 FY25, as per news from various sources. 

The Chief Business Officer of Ather Energy, Ravneet Phokela, expressed his views and said, “Reaching the 1 lakh sales milestone gives an immense amount of joy to us. The Rizta which has been exclusively developed according to the needs of Indian consumers has played a crucial role in reaching and connecting with the majority of customers. 

It is a perfect blend of reliability and practicality, thus offering everything which the consumer needs in this segment. Over the course of a year, Rizta has played a crucial role in expanding our market share dramatically across different states, thereby fortifying our brand and elevating sales in areas where we had limited reach.

Battery & Performance

Ather Energy has supplied the Rizta with different battery pack alternatives. The vehicle is equipped with a 2.9 kWh battery pack, which allows for a remarkable range of 123 km per single charge. It even gets a bigger 3.7 kWh battery pack providing a longer range at 159 Km. 

With a PMS electric motor integrated into both battery packs, the Rizta can sprint from 0 to 40 Km/hr in just 3.7 seconds, reaching a maximum speed of 80 Km/hr. In addition, the Rizta is designed for fast charging, capable of extending its range by 15 Km in only 10 minutes.

The batteries also get IP67 rating thus giving a sense of security against dust and water.

You can get the Rizta for a starting price of Rs 1.10 Lakh, with the maximum price being Rs 1.49 Lakh (Ex-Showroom).
