The MG Hector Hawk EV is set to debut ahead of the PHEV model.
JSW MG Motors India has officially released the first teaser of its upcoming New Energy Vehicle (NEV), which is all set to be introduced on August 26, 2026. The teaser also revealed that the company will first launch the all-electric model of the SUV, which will be branded as MG Hector Hawk.
The new model is the heavily rebadged version of the Wuling Starlight 560, which is currently on sale in the Chinese markets. The MG Hector Hawk 7-seater electric SUV will be the first SUV to be underpinned by the brand's all-new ADAPT (Advanced Drive Architecture Platform).
This can also accommodate multiple powertrains including electric, strong hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and range extender hybrid models.

MG Hector Hawk Teaser Details
The official teaser also showcases the glimpse of the overall silhouette of the Hector Hawk which is also evident in the closed-off front grille and an illuminated MG logo prominently displayed at the front, which suggests that the particular model is an EV. The Hector Hawk EV features the same angular front design just like the Chinese-spec Starlight 560.
It includes rectangular-shaped LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights, a sporty bumper housing a thick cladding present at the lower section and a faux skid plate.
The SUV is also expected to be equipped with dual-tone machine-cut alloy wheels, flared wheel arches, LED tail-lights, and a minimalistic tailgate design. Dimension-wise, the Hector Hawk measures 4,745 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, and 1,755 mm in height, along with a significant wheelbase of 2,810 mm.

Hector Hawk EV Technical Details
POWER: The Hector Hawk EV is expected to be powered by a 69.2 kWh battery pack integrated with a front-axle mounted electric motor, generating 136 Hp. The claimed range is 530 Km on a single charge.
While the plug-in Hybrid is likely to be a 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine paired with a 20.5 kWh battery pack, providing 125 km of pure electric range.
