The Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella has made its debut in India, marking the brand's inaugural electric SUV.
Toyota has entered the Indian EV industry by showcasing its first all-electric car, the Urban Cruiser Ebella. The Japanese manufacturer will be providing two battery pack variants, as the new electric SUV will be diversifying Toyota’s lineup beyond hybrids, pitting it directly against its rivals like Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV and Maruti Suzuki e Vitara.
Toyota will be starting the pre-bookings from January 20, 2026, as prices will be announced at a later stage. The Urban Cruiser Ebella will be underpinned on a specific dedicated electric architecture and will be sharing the core structure with the e Vitara.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella Design
Visually, the electric SUV will be having a clean yet minimalistic look and features hammerhead front fascia having a striking resemblance from the Camry. It also gets sleek projector LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, aero-optimised wheels, prominent wheel cladding, and a full-width LED tail-lamp signature cues at the rear.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella Interior & Features
The upcoming Urban Cruiser Ebella has been jointly developed by Suzuki and Toyota and has been based on the brand’s HEARTECT-e platform. Dimension-wise, it measures 4,285 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,640 mm in height, commanding a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.
The platform will come with a EV-specific flat-floor design and will be getting the same levels of interior space when compared to its ICE-powered vehicles.
FEATURES:
- The SUV will include features such as 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch digital driver display.
- The Urban Cruiser Ebella will also receive ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat and a floating center console with additional storage.

- Safety features include seven airbags, vehicle stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system with ABS and EBD. The EV will also come with Level-2 ADAS suite including Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Lane Keep Assist.
- There will also be an addition of a 360-Degree camera, parking sensors, ISOFIX, over-speed and stagger warnings.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella Battery & Power
POWER: The Urban Cruiser Ebella will be available with two battery pack options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh lithium-ion battery packs. The smaller 49 kWh battery pack delivers a peak power of 106 kW and 189 Nm of maximum torque, while the substantial 61 kWh battery pack generates a peak power of 128 kW and 189 Nm of maximum torque.

According to Toyota, Ebella could provide 543 km of driving range specifically for the bigger 61 kWh battery pack. The batteries support AC as well as DC fast charging and comes with 8-year of standard warranty, assured buyback, and is also available with Battery-As-A-Service option in order to make the car more valuable to buy.
