The Hyundai IONIQ 9 wins the World’s Best Large SUV at the 2026 Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year Awards.

Hyundai’s Ioniq 9 all-electric SUV has achieved the prestigious title of World’s Best Large SUV at the 2026 Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY) Awards. This accolade reflects Hyundai Motor's dedication to outstanding performance in the electric SUV sector.

The Ioniq 9 was selected through a panel of 84 female automotive journalists from 54 countries who thoroughly tested the vehicles across various categories, by accessing various standards such as safety, quality, design, performance, ease of driving, environmental impact and cost-effectiveness. 

The Executive President at Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year, Marta Garcia expressed her views on this and said, “Hyundai IONIQ 9 is a perfect example of a balance between advanced technology and everyday practicality. 

Its fast and advanced charging capabilities with futuristic interiors are a benchmark in the large electric SUV segment. This award also proves that Hyundai still takes commitment and innovation very seriously and this is not the first time the brand has been selected by our jury.”
