Atul Auto has teamed up with Exponent Energy to introduce passenger e-3Ws that can be charged in just 15 minutes.
Atul Auto and Exponent Energy have announced a strategic alliance to develop 15-minute rapid charging electric three-wheelers. The company is planning to deploy around 15,000 Exponent-powered passenger three-wheelers for the period of three years.

Under this partnership, Atul Auto’s vehicles will be utilising Exponent Energy’s OTO three-wheeler mobility platform which usually combines battery systems, powertrain concepts, and vehicle software.
AdvertisementThis platform was earlier used in retrofit deployments and now will be extended to OEM-integrated new vehicles. Apart from Exponent’s rapid charging network, this platform will also support public and home charging infrastructure.

Using Exponent Energy’s technology which can enable a full charge in just 15 minutes specifically for commercial vehicles and also includes a warranty of up to 2 lakh Km. The offering will be supporting vehicle uptime, operational efficiency, and total cost of ownership for commercial users. According to the company, this partnership will be accelerating the EV adoption in the commercial EV segment.
Exponent Energy has also introduced Exponent One, which is an EV financing platform managed by Sandeep Divakaran, which will be backing the financing of these electric vehicles. The platform includes insurance and buyback options.
The CEO and Founder of Exponent Energy, Arun Vinayak, also expressed his views on this and said, “With our collaboration with Atul Auto, we will be able to introduce rapid charging, financing access, and integrating proven vehicle technology together at a huge scale. Our aim is to make electric mobility a proven and better choice and will be providing a complete solution towards EV adoption.
