Tata Motors: Tata continues to dominate the Indian EV industry by expanding its monthly sales volume from 12,584 units in July to 12,992 units in August 2026. Its diversified portfolio includes electric cars positioned in each segment, ranging from compact electric hatchbacks to premium electric SUVs, which provides specific cars tailored for every consumer’s needs.
Mahindra: This Indian manufacturer has solidified its position at second spot with 6,368 units sold in the month of August 2026. Mahindra has strengthened its vehicle portfolio by the launch of its 6-seater XEV 9S, which brings spacious multi-row electric SUVs for family users, thus establishing itself in high-tech utility vehicles.
MG Motor India: MG has sold 4,569 units in the month of August 2026. To enhance its presence in the Indian market, MG has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of MG Hector Tomahawk EV, which strikes a perfect balance between looks and advanced technology.
VinFast: The Vietnamese manufacturer recorded an impressive 2,196 units in August 2026. Apart from witnessing a spike in sales, VinFast has also hiked the prices for their popular VF6 and VF7 electric models.
Maruti Suzuki: Maruti Suzuki has recorded a steady increase in sales registering 1,391 units in August 2026, thus deliberately scaling constant numbers in the EV space.
