BYD has achieved a record milestone as they celebrated the production of 13 million NEVs. BYD has become a leading force in the global New Energy Vehicle (NEV) industry. The milestone vehicle was the brand’s Yangwang U7 which was manufactured from the company’s assembly unit at Xiaomi Production Base, which is presently at Shenzen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone.

The BYD Atto 3 originally known as Yuan Plus in its local China market has crossed a remarkable milestone of one million sales across the world. This electric SUV was introduced in 2022, and took exactly 31 months to achieve this iconic milestone which just reflects its growing popularity across boundaries. 

The constant growth was first witnessed in China as it recorded impressive sales of 3,00,000 units in the first 14 months of launch followed by additional 2,00,000 units over the course of next six months. 

During a period of 25 months, the remaining half a million units were sold, significantly influenced by the growing demand in international markets, as the car reached more than 100 countries. BYD took exactly 1,391 days to hit the million-unit-mark with an approximate average of 719 vehicles sold per month, which is quite impressive.
