BYD to showcase Sealion SUV at the 2025 Auto Expo

BYD is gearing up to launch Sealion 7 SUV at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025 with the vision to redefine the Indian Automotive industry. BYD has slated to release this electric SUV in Q1 2025. Sealion 7 is expected to come with an impressive set of features, cutting-edge technology, which can make it a game changer in the EV segment.

Design takes center stage
The shape of this SUV will be taking inspiration from curvy styled SUVs, however, the design of the LED headlamps will have a striking resemblance to Seal sedan. It will also get flush door handles and a sloping roofline, which can give it a coupe SUV styling. At the back, it will get a connected LED DRL strip and a powered tailgate.
Innovations at the Battery Stage
According to sources, BYD is introducing their new blade battery in the Sealion 7, making it the first car to come with a new battery setup. The international version gets either an 82.5 kWh or a 91.3 kWh battery option with dual-motor or single motor. The detailed specifications are as follows.

- 4-Spoke steering wheel with controls for the audio system and the ADAS
- A driver selector knob, buttons for drive and terrain modes, two cupholders, and center armrest.
- Panoramic Glass roof, a heated steering wheel, ventilated seats both heated and cooled & adjustable front seats with dual-zone auto AC.
- A premium 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system with surround sound, giving a premium sound experience to the user.
- Sealion 7 SUV will get 9 airbags, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System).
- It can also come with ADAS features like Adaptive Cruise control and rear collision detection.
Expected Price
The prices for this Electric SUV are expected to start from Rs 45 Lakh and in this price range, it can rival its other competitors like Hyundai Ioniq, Kia EV6, and Volvo EX40.
