The design approach behind engineering the XEV 9S is not just focussed on aerodynamics but an area where Mahindra truly shines, by striking a perfect balance between engineering and emotion.

The overall design of the XEV 9S is more like a “electric native” that feels more futuristic and minimalistic at the same time. The front houses a speed, yet a closed-off grille highlighted by striking triangular LED headlamps and connected DRLs that gives it a robust traditional SUV look. 

Mahindra had tried to give a clean yet a contemporary look that is made specifically for traditional SUV enthusiasts while making the edges subtle for the electric version, thus it results in an SUV which looks like it's moving even when it’s standing stationary.

Stepping inside the cabin of the XEV 9S is like entering into a modern living space yet a high-tech lounge. The design team was heavily inspired by creating a “personal sanctuary” as there is an inclusion of an impressive triple-screen setup that runs across the dashboard providing a theater-like vibes for both passengers and driver. 

However, they have added a luxury quotient by adding an acoustic laminated glass and surrounding the cabin with soft-touch materials, thus enhancing the overall ambience of the interiors. It also helps further to shut out the unwanted voices coming out of the car, thus improving the user experience. 

Thus the design of the XEV 9S is crafted specifically to provide a sense of comfort with added practicality. It proves to be an ideal electric family SUV that is efficient without being too dramatic and futuristic with a touch of minimalism.
