Drivn has teamed up with BillionE Mobility to roll out 200 electric trucks.
Drivn, an electric vehicle leasing platform for heavy commercial fleets is in collaboration with BillionE Mobility to lease and deploy 200 electric trucks as a part of electric freight deployment programme in India.
During the first phase, a total of 22 electric trucks will be deployed for the cement industry customer for a long-term contract. The deployment also includes an electrified freight corridor with a developed charging infrastructure and operational services.
AdvertisementAccording to the companies, the deployment is expected to reduce a total of 4,500 tonnes of carbon emissions as compared to internal combustion engine (ICE) trucks. The companies stated that the partnership will evolve with additional phases of electric truck deployment. Thus they plan to expand deployments for the adoption of electric freight transport for long-haul commercial operations.
