EKA Mobility, an electric vehicle manufacturer and technology company has started an association with Chartered Speed, a bus passenger manufacturer, and has received Letter of Award (LOA) for developing a network of 9-meter and 12-meter electric buses across Rajasthan, specifically under PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme.

In line with the Letter of Confirmation of Quantity (LOCQ) from CESL, the LOA is set to enhance the utilization of electric buses throughout the country. This project will encompass eight cities across Rajasthan, including Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer, Alwar, Bikaner, Bhilwara, and Jodhpur.

The initiative includes 565 nine-meter and 110 twelve-meter electric buses, making a total number of 675. This initiative will lead to reduce carbon emissions and decrease the dependence on fossil fuels. The initiative will also develop the EV Public transportation sector in the state.

The Business head & Chief Growth Officer of EKA Mobility, expressed his views and said, “This strategic win ensures that electric mobility is not just the future of transportation, but it’s the present too as many people are adopting EVs.

The aim of Rajasthan to develop electric mobility clearly aligns with our vision of revolutionizing public urban commutes and advancing India towards sustainable energy generation.”

The Whole Time Director of Chartered Speed, Mr. Sanyam Gandhi, said on this topic, “This initiative redefines our vision to a greener yet more efficient electric mobility. We are able to smoothly transition towards electric transportation through the Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Sewa Scheme.

Our ultimate goal is to eradicate ICE vehicles and develop cleaner green mobility solutions, and enable smart travel options in order to make a sustainable India.”

Rajasthan is not the first to negotiate a contract with EKA, other contracts include associations from Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (Approx 150 Crore) and the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (Approx 400 Crore).

Thus these initiatives are encouraging people to adopt EV mobility seamlessly. The Government is taking these initiatives seriously and developing their public transport system in accordance with the EV modern times to make people aware about EVs and creating an environment that EVs are not the future but the present face of transportation.
