Electric 2-Wheeler Sales May 2026 | Effect of Rising Fuel Costs & Waiting Periods
The month of May witnessed rising fuel prices multiple times and due to this the EV adoption rate of two-wheelers is rapidly increasing. However, the EV market landscape has shown a major shift as it is no longer a demand-side crisis, but more like a supply-side challenge.
The current market scenario suggests that the success of an electric two-wheeler manufacturer is no longer dependent solely on a better product, aggressive pricing, or a strong value proposition. Instead, the electric vehicle (EV) industry is increasingly focused on which manufacturer can effectively manage its supply chain and offer the shortest waiting periods, as this is playing a crucial role in driving sales.
