Ferrari is heavily testing its first all-electric sportscar in Maranello, but has heavily camouflaged its exterior design to hide from the public eye. The company is currently focussing on the R&D of the electric car and a heavily disguised version of the test mule was spotted in the roads with fake looking body panels, in order to confuse the enthusiasts and leaving everything on their imagination.

However, it was earlier tested with Maserati Levante body panels, as the new spy shots showcased by Derek Cornelissen provides a glimpse of the final-production model on its home ground.

Named as Ferrari “Elettrica”, it could be revealed by the company soon after the wraps are taken off and surely will not look as bulky as the test mule looks. It is also expected to house a breadvan silhouette, but the angle of the rear-end panels and glass point runs across the sloping roofline of the sportscar.

The company has smartly integrated additional body panels on the car, in order to distract the users from revealing the electric Ferrari’s real design, which is expected to have a striking resemblance to Purosangue EV, which also includes the rear-hinged doors. Ferrari EV Test

The distraction is quite successful for the company as there is no information about the real design language and positioning of the sportscar. However it is expected that Ferrari could design the car by making the design look unique, thus striking a perfect balance between sportscar and SUV

The company could differentiate it from its other offerings and could position it specifically for family-oriented consumers, with enough room to accommodate four passengers, including the driver.

Ferrari Elettrica Architecture & Performance

Generally Ferrari doesn’t reveal any technical information about its upcoming models and follows the same approach with the Elettrica. However, there is very little information available and as per sources, the Italian manufacturer could underpin this electric sportscar on a completely new platform, with most of the key components to be manufactured locally, which also includes the batteries and electric motor.

However, the exact technical specifications of the range, battery pack, and power figures are not released by Ferrari and we have to wait till the company’s next reveal event, scheduled for October 9, 2025.

Ferrari Elettrica Expected Launch & Pricing

The electric Ferrari will be introduced to the global markets in the first half of 2026, followed by deliveries expected to start from 2026. However as per various sources, Ferrari is expected to price this car around the $500,000 range (Approx Rs 4.43 Crore).

This is totally dependent on what sort of technology and engineering the company is using with the Elettrica sportscar, and how Maranello wants to position this electric sportscar. If we look at the competition, it will be decided after the price reveal of Elettrica and what performance it will be bringing in. We think that the Lotus Eletre, with its 905 BHP power, could be a worthy contender, and the rest we leave it to the final introduction of Ferrari Elettrica.
