The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI), Government of India, has revised timelines as per the Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for Ola Cell Technologies Private Limited (OCT), which is a completely owned subsidiary of Ola Electric Mobility. 

As per the revised guidelines, Ola Electric will have access to the PLI scheme scheduled for 20 GWh capacity through CY2031. According to the company, they will be receiving Rs 7,240 crore in cumulative PLI incentives, with disbursements organized for next quarter.

Currently the Ola Electric has 2.5 GWh of installed cell-manufacturing capacity with another 3.5 GWh scheduled under installation. The company has set their vision to achieve 6 GWh by the end of the current quarter, as per revised December 2026 milestone. 

Currently, the company is developing lithium-ion cells for various applications including electric mobility, energy storage, drones, robotics, and next generation industrial systems. The cell platform also comprises NMC and LFP batteries, along with R&D, battery-material localisation, manufacturing processes and material recovery.
