Tata Motors has announced specific range details of Harrier EV according to available variants. This has come just after the company revealed the exact ex-showroom prices for Harrier EV rear-wheel drive RWD.
Tata’s flagship electric SUV Harrier EV comes with an option of two battery packs and here’s a detailed range as per each variant of the SUV.
Tata Harrier EV Claimed Range
The Harrier EV features a 65 kWh battery, along with a significantly larger 75 kWh battery pack that comes with a single motor. Additionally, the larger 75 kWh battery pack can be paired with a Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) system that includes a dual-motor configuration.
Let’s go through the variant wise range details of Harrier EV.
Tata Harrier EV Variants |
Claimed Range (MIDC) |
Real-World Range (C-75) |
65 kWh RWD |
538 KM |
420-445 KM |
75 kWh RWD |
627 KM |
480-505 KM |
75 kWh QWD |
622 KM |
460-490 KM |
The Harrier 65 kWh RWD provides a significant range of 538 Km on a single charge, while the 75 kWh RWD variant provides a substantial 627 Km of range on a full charge. However, the QWD variant provides a comparatively lesser 622 Km of range which is decent enough as it generates more power and torque compared to the RWD variants.
Tata Harrier EV Real-World Range
The reported range figures are assessed and certified under optimal testing circumstances, which is the reason Tata has shared the real-world range for all variants. As per the company, the C75 range figures ensure that the 75% of the customers practically get the same certified range in the day-to-day driving conditions, if driven sedately or with a light foot.
Based on the C75 calculation, the Harrier EV is expected to deliver a real-world range of 420-445 Km for the 65 kWh RWD variant, 480-505 Km for the 75 kWh RWD variant, and approximately 460-490 Km for the 75 kWh QWD variant.
Tata Harrier EV Battery Warranty
Tata will be providing a lifetime warranty on the battery pack which covers the exact timeline of 15 years from the date of registration. The second owners will be also benefitted with a 10 year/2,00,000 Km of warranty package.
Tata has not revealed the exact prices of the top of the line QWD variants, which will be clarified in the coming days.
NOTE: It is important to note that the ex-showroom cost of the vehicle will not include the cost of fast charger and installation. The company is giving an option of a 7.3 kW AC charger that takes 9.3 hours to fully charge the 65 kWh battery pack. The bigger 75 kWh battery pack takes 10.7 hours to charge from 0-100%.
