MG Starlight 560: Launch Date & Expected Price
The MG Starlight is expected to launch in the Indian market in this festive season, as it is spotted testing multiple times on the Indian roads. Recently, the upcoming MG Starlight 560 was also spotted charging at parking. This has given a confirmation that the SUV will be powered with an electric counterpart.
MG will be also providing an option of PHEV and strong hybrids specifically for the Indian market. The electric SUV will also come with 7-seat configurations and is even longer than XUV 7XO. The international model measures 4,745 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, and 1,755 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,810 mm.
AdvertisementBATTERY: The electric version is expected to be equipped with a 56.7 kWh battery pack integrated with a front-axle attached electric motor producing maximum power output of 134 Bhp and peak torque of 200 Nm. It is expected to deliver an estimated range around 450-500 Km on a single charge.

PHEV: The PHEV version of the MG Starlight 560 will be featuring a 1.5L petrol engine, an electric motor, and a 20.5 kWh battery pack. Globally, it generates a combined power output of 194 Bhp and a peak torque of 230 Nm. According to the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC), the SUV provides a total range of 1100 Km, with a pure electric range of 100 Km.
MG Starlight 560 PHEV Expected Price details (Ex- showroom)
The MG Starlight 560 is expected to be priced around Rs 19 lakh to Rs 22 lakh, for the entry-level Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) variants. The top of the line models could go up to Rs 25 lakh to Rs 30 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
The upcoming SUV will also come with a variety of advanced features such as integrated dual-screen comprising a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 8.8-inch digital driver’s display. It also gets connected car tech, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, multiple USB charging ports, panoramic sunroof, OTA updates, and premium leatherette upholstery.

The MG Starlight 560 PHEV could be positioned against competitors like the Mahindra XUV 7XO, which is also expected to be powered with a strong hybrid powertrain in 2027. The electric version will go against the likes of Mahindra XEV 9S, Kia Carens Clavis EV, and BYD eMax 7.
