The Honda UC3 electric scooter has been patented in India, Expected to deliver 122 km of Range.

Honda has registered for the Indian patent for their UC3 electric scooter, thus adding another scooter to their electric lineup of two-wheelers. Currently, the scooter is on sale in Thailand and Vietnam, but the patent does not confirm the launch.

Honda has also patented several two-wheelers in India in order to protect their design and intellectual property, without launching them locally. 

Honda UC3 Expected to come with Fixed Battery

The Honda UC3 could come with a fixed battery setup unlike the Activa e, thus it will be the first electric scooter of the brand to come with LFP battery chemistry. The scooter is expected to be powered by a 3.2 kWh battery, with Honda claiming more than 1,500 charging cycles. 

POWER: According to Honda, the UC3 is expected to deliver 122 Km of claimed range, with performance expected to be at par with a 160cc petrol-powered scooter. It is also expected to generate peak power output of 8 Bhp, with a claimed top speed of 80 km/hr. 

The UC3 will also come with 1200W charging, utilising 12-inch wheels equipped with CBS braking instead of the conventional ABS setup. 

Honda UC3 Design 

Visually, the UC3 takes design inspiration from several scooter designs. The front is heavily based with a maxi-scooter influence, while the side panels, seat and rear section take inspiration from a neo-retro theme. 

On the other hand, the rear comes with a traditional LED tail-light and indicator arrangement, while the seat follows a layered yet a complex design. 

Honda UC3 Features & Technology 

It comes equipped with various features like 5-inch TFT instrument cluster that comes integrated with Honda RoadSync connectivity. Other features include traction control, three riding modes (Eco, Standard, & Sport) and a reverse assist function. 

The scooter also comes with adaptive regenerative braking which automatically switches to the desired regen level depending on the battery percentage. Other features include a smart key with keyless go, a Type-C charging port, and a 26-litre underseat storage and bi-chromatic headlights.
