Toyota's inaugural three-row EV has been revealed: Is an Indian launch in the works?
Toyota is all set to introduce its flagship three-row electric SUV which will go against the likes of the Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9. The Japanese manufacturer has finally revealed the Highlander EV. This popular three-row SUV was not upgraded for years, but it is coming back in a new generation and will be equipped with fully electric powertrains.
2027 Toyota Highlander EV Design
Visually, the new 2027 Highlander EV is inspired by the brand’s latest design direction. The front features a highlighted Hammerhead face integrated with a sweptback grille and full length LED DRL design that sits beneath the LED headlamps within the bumper corners.
It also gets a sleek silhouette to ensure a futuristic look and also gets prominent fenders, and a long glasshouse that runs through the rear spoiler. The rear gets a connected taillamp with two-thin LED light strips that are integrated around the tailgate. The turn indicators are attached within the trapezoidal housings on both sides.

2027 Toyota Highlander EV Interior & Features
The interiors of the Highlander EV are crafted with a futuristic cabin that is inspired by a tech-forward look that keeps things minimalistic yet luxurious by providing all the features. It gets a 14-inch infotainment screen placed at the center, wireless connectivity, and a 12.3-inch digital cluster with navigation.
Other features include heads-up display which provides the essential car data, and occupants can enjoy 61-colour ambient lighting setup. There is also an addition of a panoramic glass roof on the top-spec model.
Passengers are also provided with SofTex upholstery with heated front seats, with second-row seats are provided with Captain seats as standard.

2027 Toyota Highlander EV India Launch
The new Highlander is all set to launch later this year, with sales starting from the beginning of 2027. However, Toyota has not confirmed the launch of the Highlander EV in India. So it will be interesting to see whether the manufacturer launches this car in India or not.
