Hyundai Motor Company is all set to launch its entry-level made-in-India compact electric SUV. Codenamed as He1i, the new compact EV has been officially named as Hyundai Ioniq P, thus using its global nameplate to set a bar for the Indian market. Let’s break down the upcoming car’s technical specs, range and launch details.

Hyundai Ioniq P: Bringing a Premium Nameplate

We all are aware of Hyundai’s premium Ioniq nameplate and about the flagship Ioniq 5. The Managing Director of Hyundai Motor India, Tarun Garg expressed that the vehicle has been specially designed for Indian road conditions.

Hyundai Ioniq P Expected Battery and Range

The Ioniq P is expected to be powered by a 42 kWh and a substantial 49 kWh battery pack, while the company has not revealed the exact range figures, the battery sizes indicate that Hyundai will be positioning the car for daily urban commutes and for small weekend highway trips, eradicating the range anxiety.

It also comes with features such as front and rear power windows, heated ORVMs, with a standard automatic gearbox to elevate the driving feel.

Hyundai Ioniq P Expected Price and Launch Timeline

The Ioniq P is all set to create a revolution in the budget-EV segment, as the company will be pricing it competitively at an expected price of Rs 9.79 lakh to Rs 12.99 lakh. Thus the Ioniq P could redefine the standards for entry-level electric SUVs in the country.
