Hyundai is set to introduce 26 models in India by 2030, with a new electric vehicle launching soon.

Hyundai Motor Company is all set to introduce 26 new models and updates in the country by 2030. The company has outlined their manufacturing strategy and announced their vision at the company’s 2026 CEO Investor Day, where Hyundai also established its global target of 5.55 million annual vehicle sales by the end of this decade. 

Hyundai Manufacturing Strategy 

Hyundai’s India programme will begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 with the introduction of a new A-segment electric SUV. The locally manufactured model will diversify the company’s EV lineup beyond the Creta Electric and target buyers looking for more budget-friendly electric vehicles. 

Hyundai has also confirmed that its upcoming entry-level electric SUV is specifically developed for Indian consumers as the test versions of the upcoming EV have already been spotted testing heavily on the Indian roads, hinting that the model is currently in development phase.

However, the company has not revealed the exact technical details such as battery, range or power output. Hyundai has confirmed to offer next-generation infotainment system and Level 2 ADAS. 

One of the major highlights of this upcoming EV is its compact dimensions and high level of localised materials which will help the company to position the model effectively in the highly competitive SUV market. The new EV will be slotted below the Creta Electric in India’s portfolio.
