The Hyundai Ioniq 6 N has been unveiled, boasting a powerful 650hp all-wheel-drive powertrain.

Hyundai is upgrading their EV game by every launch as they have introduced the performance oriented Hyundai Ioniq 6 N at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it made a grand entry, thus taking the legacy of Hyundai N models on the legendary Goodwood Hillclimb.
This is the company’s second high-performance EVs which has been exclusively crafted for sheer performance and sharp handling than the previous Ioniq 5 N, which was introduced way back in 2023. However both the models are powered by the same 650 HP AWD powertrain, but Ioniq 6 N is tuned for more power and hence is quicker than its previous model.
Hyundai Ioniq 6 N Battery & Performance
Hyundai Ioniq 6 N shares the same powertrain of the Ioniq 5 and is equipped with a 84 kWh battery pack, however there are certain enhancements for the Ioniq 6 which features a 7 kWh coolant heater in order to regulate the battery to maintain its regular operating temperature.
POWER: The Ioniq 6 N is integrated with two motor setup and is powered by a 238 HP front and 412 HP rear motors, generating a max power output of 650 HP and a max torque of 770 Nm. Hyundai has attached new motor magnets to the Ioniq 6 N which helps it to achieve 0-100 Km/hr in an impressive 3.2 seconds, which is just 0.2 seconds faster than Ioniq 5 N with a maximum top speed of up to 257 kph.
Hyundai has also upgraded the dynamics of this performance sedan and features electronically controlled dampers, and an electronically controlled limited-slip rear differential, which helps it to achieve a lower center of gravity than the 5 N which makes its handling sharper than the previous Ioniq models.
The Ioniq 6 N shares all the software capabilities of the Ioniq 5 N, including the ‘N Grip Boost’ button that delivers a robust 650 HP of power at one tap. There are also identical drift modes which Hyundai claims has been modified for better responsiveness, artificial engine sounds, and gearshift points.
Hyundai Ioniq 6 N Revised Interior & Exterior
The company has worked extensively for making the Ioniq 6 N even better in handling than its previous releases, so apart from designing a lower center of gravity, Hyundai has also revised the track width and has increased the width by 60 mm. It also features wider wheel arches than the facelift introduced earlier.
The performance N model stands out from the standard Ioniq 6 thanks to its unique design elements, including a lowered front end, a broader and more striking mesh grille, and N-styled winglets designed for a proper air flow along the body for making it aerodynamically efficient, it also comes with a large rear spoiler that is designed to strike a perfect balance between the car's aerodynamic performance as influenced by the front splitter.
The company has also provided 20-inch alloy wheels which feature a different design and are measured at 275/35R20 Pirelli P Zero tyres. However on the inside, things are very much the same and interiors are standard to the regular Ioniq 6, but comes with a black and grey colour combination.
Hyundai has not yet verified the introduction of the Ioniq 6 in India. The Ioniq 6 was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 to stir enthusiasm, but it has not made its debut in the Indian market yet, so there is a big question mark as to whether this performance sedan will make it to the Indian market or not.
