Honda is soon entering the world of electric mobility with its range of advanced electric motorcycles by the end of this decade, and has also revealed the first teaser, presenting its initial high-performance electric motorcycle, which is expected to be released worldwide on September 2, 2025.
The new teaser revealed some exciting details related to the brand’s first sporty electric motorcycle, which gave a hint on the styling cues inspired by the previously disclosed EV Fun concept.
Honda’s new Electric Motorcycle Launching Soon
Talking about the Honda EV Fun concept which was displayed with a 500 CC equivalent performance electric motorcycle, and was specified with a branding of an e-motorcycle producing 50 BHP from the electric motor, which gives a speculation that the upcoming Honda electric motorcycle could be powered with the same electric setup, generating same power figures and torque, just at the slick of the accelerator.
The teaser also displayed various enhancements featured with the e-motorcycle which includes LED DRL, bar-end mirrors, clip-on handlebars, and a large TFT screen which mentions all the driving data.
Visually, the electric motorcycle will adopt a street-naked superbike look, but will be specifically designed to provide an aggressive riding posture. Honda will also equip the e-motorcyle with CCS2 fast charging, as it gives the flexibility to support any type of fast charger like electric cars, which ensures that riders can charge their bike at any charging station irrespective of the company's specific charging stations.
Honda Electric Motorcycle Expected India Launch
Honda has not revealed the exact technical specifications of the upcoming electric motorcycle, but it is expected that the company will be introducing their first electric bike to European markets, followed by other developed markets, in order to analyse their electric bike’s potential in their growing EV demands.
We are not expecting India launch soon, instead Honda is developing their EV infrastructure of battery swapping networks in India and readying their in-house developed electric scooters to gain attraction for EV users of the country with their latest EV offerings like the QC1 and Activa e.
Currently, Honda is analysing the Indian markets with the launch of their electric scooters and could launch their upcoming electric motorcycles at a later stage at a time when the electric market is more developed with a proper infrastructure and more performance-oriented for a product like this.
Hence the upcoming Honda’s electric motorcycle could go against the likes of Indian manufactured Ultraviolette F77, which is currently on sale in Europe. We will be covering more updates about the launch of the bike, till then Stay Tuned!!
